Peer Review Process

Review Model

Jordan Journal of Biological Sciences follows a double-blind peer review process, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed to ensure objectivity, fairness, and academic integrity.

Review Workflow

  1. Initial Editorial Screening
Submitted manuscripts are evaluated by the editorial office for scope, formatting, originality, and ethical compliance.

  2. Reviewer Assignment
Manuscripts passing initial screening are assigned to independent expert reviewers with relevant subject expertise.

  3. Peer Review Evaluation
Reviewers assess manuscripts based on scientific quality, originality, methodology, clarity, and relevance.

  4. Editorial Decision
Based on reviewer feedback, the editor may recommend acceptance, revision (minor or major), or rejection.

  5. Revision and Final Decision
Authors submit revised manuscripts addressing reviewer comments. Final decisions are made by the editor.

Review Timeline

  • Initial Editorial Assessment: ~1 week
